Hi,
my name is Bart, I come from Poland and I am a professional, full-time C# Web Developer. Just recently I started working, with the help of XNA, at my very first game, currently targeting Windows Phone 7 and, in the future, Xbox Indies, PC and possibly Android.
The game is a 2d, constant runner. Think Canabalt or Robot Unicorn but with a twist.
General tone: a crazy, hammerhead knight keeps charging through a burning town, destroying (WITH A CHARGING SHIELD SLAM) enemy knights, jumping over obstacles and platforms and saving damsels in distress that bless him with various, uh..., buffs. This and you get a bar that, when filled, allows you go OVERDRIVE, sweeping through everything and everyone for a limited time.
16-bit, pixelated style.
Check this concept done by the wonderful Card Douglas to understand better:

I need following assets for my game:
- one spritesheet for the main hero with 4-6 frames per animation, sized 30x30 (or 32x32, whatever is more comofrtable for you) with the basic actions: running, jumping and charging.
- one spritesheet for the overdrive mode, containing only one, flying animation, possibly 64x64 pixels (since it needs to be frigging MANLY)
- one spritesheet for the damsel in distress (I can handle the recolors myself), 30x30, 4 frames, one animation (wailing arms and screaming)
- two-three spritesheets for the enemy knights, 30x30, 4 frames, one idle animation
- not animated, static sprites of "emote bubbles". Could be very small. Need a couple of those.
- spritesheet for the death explosion, 30x30, 4-6 frames
- one big, static image serving as the bottom layer of the background (parallax). 400x240.
- smaller, tileable sprite of the burning town serving as the second layer of the background (see the concept)
- a series of small tiles (prolly 20x20) that would be used as bricks to create randomized platforms and/or terrain
That's what I have listed so far. For more information, please contact me at: barjed [at] gmail [dot] com
I am paying cash, we can negotiate the price :)
Cheers!
- Bart
