Hi guys,
I'm currently working on a remake of the game Wonder Boy 3: The Dragons Trap (AKA Dragons Curse). All in all it has about 100 individual tiles, and I'm doing them in 32 x 32 format.
If you put them all together it would make around a 500 x 250 size picture, so does anyone have an idea of how much something like this would cost? I'm currently using Dragons Curse tiles, and you can see what I've done with them over here (Currently working on enemy AI at the moment). http://www.stencyl.com/game/play/5258
I understand that prices would vary per person but I'd like to get a decent idea so I don't make a social faux pas when posting and offering a rate too low or too high.
Cheers, Bane

If you're not sure for how much money to ask, consider this method. Imagine the salary you'd like to get every month. Be realistic, seriously, you're not a Bill Gates. Count the hours spent on your work. Substract the number from the whole month (Let's asume it's 160 hours: 8 hours 5 days per week.) Calculate the proportion and bingo! — you get the average number. You can shift the result considering your greed or wealth/poverty of your client.

Being a nut for the Monster World games myself I'd happily enough work on a Free tileset which you could use for so long as my motivation holds out.
Just post a image of the assembled original tiles for me to work from.
