So me and someone else are making a game that takes place in a boy's dream. I'd like some crits on my mock up and some help with my walk cycle.
These are my terrible walk cycles.
I've hardly animated anything before so any help would be appreciated.

I suggest mentioning any http://alastairjohnjack.com/arvoesine.html - references or sources of inspiration when posting works here (especially in the gallery). Not accusing you of ripping or anything, just saying :)

I was playing with your character and I got this
walk cycle. I hope this helps you. With so little pixels it's a bit complicated make the walk illusion, but like in bigger animations the rules are the same, make keyframes with the most important poses of the action and inbetween some drawings to make it smoothest.
I'd choose the character's perspective used in the mockup rather than use a total side view, this way the movement are more understandable. Don't you think?
See you.

Thanks Franz, I'll learn from it. :)
Also yes it's Arne's palette, and sorry for not mentioning my inspiration.
