This is my first post ever on this site. C: So I just started drawing the characters for a game I'm making, and I'm having some trouble with the first one D: This is a suicide-bomber clown that will explode into confetti when he hits you.
The main thing I'm having trouble with are the missing arm & the neck ruffles. I want it to be an old-fashioned clown costume of sorts. All the clowns on this level are also going to be pretty monotone with red noses and shoes. I fixed the thick spot in the hair and am going to fix the spot on his belly that looks weird on the right (just noticed those things)
So I guess I'm asking for help with the arm perspective and the ruffles looking messy.
edit, I fixed him and made a sample animation of him exploding, I need to redo the confetti and time the images differently

the animation might look better if he didn't drift backward before he popped. I think the foot on the left is at an odd angle, and should be pointed more toward us. giant clown shoes might also be neat.
what are your ruffles references?
