Hello all,
I'm a student and I have been working on a turn-based strategy game this summer(multi-player & top down). Most of the game foundations are done, what needs to be done now is to add the game content like the different units and spells.
So, I'm looking for an artist (preferably pixel-artist) to do all the art needed.
As I'm a student, the work will be unpaid. At first I'll release the game as free-ware. If ever the game turns out to be sold (who knows), the artist will receive something.
Description :
edit: The game will be in a medieval-fantasy universe (orcs, elfs, magic)
The game map/board is actually composed of 32*32 squares, it can be changed easily, but it won't be any bigger than 40*40, for the moment. Some sprites can be higher than the width and overlap the top squares (like trees)
The game screen is set at 800*600 for the moment, and the map will probably not occupy the whole screen, so there will be need for some "big" UI components.
The gui will need some art too.
Last thing, the units are planned to be animated. In the case of animations, the 32*32 constraints can be broken if needed.

Saw that and replied, thanks for your interest.
For the others, this is a screen shot of what I currently have :

the trees are from lost garden, I'll need the artist to redo everything.
I'm planning on adding different environments (desert / snow / jungle / ...) and plenty of different units / races. So If you are interested in helping for the creative side, I'm OK with it.
edit : black bands on right and bottom were test to find out how to put the gui and the grey grid can be removed
