I'm currently working solo on a tower defense game written in javascript/html5 and am looking for an artist to help me with the graphics.

So about the game, its a tower defense game where the object to be defended is in the middle of a randomly generated terrain map, and the creeps spawn at random points along the perimeter. Terrain significantly affects creep's movement speed, so their pathfinding will try to find the shortest path by travel time, not distance.

This is basically the hook of the game. Using the terrain to your advantage while building the most impenetrable fortress you can to defend all directions. This isn't just tower defense, i want it to feel more like building a fortress than building a maze. Water and Rock are unbuildable, but i may add more expensive towers that can build there, or some sort of expensive terrain modification tool.

Also the game does not disallow players from completely walling off the exit. If creeps can't find a clear path, they will simply attack your walls or towers.

What I currently have is 5 terrain tiles (water, sand, grass, forest, rock), 2 creep types (sh*tty wizard, boss wizard), and 3 tower types (wall, sh*tty tower, temple).

The "sh*tty wizard" is a complete placeholder and not at all representative of the final creeps. If you have ideas or concepts for setting or style, i'm definitely interested to hear.

The setting of the game is open to change, currently it has a warcraft kind of feel to it, but zombies or something could be fitting/cool. Please respond here with any previous artwork or info about yourself if you are interested. The plan is to release this game on the android and iOS market upon completion.

To be up front, I feel the game still has months of development time left. I have no promises for compensation, but if the game does sell you will be compensated fairly.


What I'm asking for now is just 5 terrain tiles to get started. If it works well and you want to continue, we can talk more about the monster's and towers. For now, lets just keep it simple.
