Here's my idea for an apartment so far. This is my first post, as well as my first try at doing people, although I used the generic guy as a guide. It still needs work, on the walls especially, but let me know what you think so far.

Sweeeet.

You've got a great start here, but maybe you could kill a door or two and replace it with some appropriate Disco-y objects.

I've added some furniture, taken away some doors, fixed up the walls, and made a few other small changes. Let me know how it looks.

Oooooh, much better Smite.

The disco ball and knocked out door help a lot. To be honest... I'm not too crazy about the door up front. Not a crit of you... just the concept of the door up front.  I'll have to run it by pixelblink.

Ooh, nice. The shape of the disco ball looks a bit odd though.

why not just leave a shadow of the door up front instead of actually showing the door?

Okay, I didn't like how the last one was turning out, so I made a new one. This one is a replica of my room, only 2.5 feet shorter in one direction. Let me know what you think.

Awww, I liked your disco scene.

The black floor makes it very hard to make out the bottom of the room.  Is that a bed on the right?  Try lightening up some of it so it's easier to make out (even if it's not exactly what your room looks like).

Yeah my floor is wood panels, every other one is blue and the rest are black. My bed is a futon matress with black sheets. I havn't redecorated since I got out of my black phase.

Just add a light highlight around the bed otherwise it gets lost completely in the background.

I think it's cool to do a replica of your room... but don't forget that we still have to be able to tell what is what in your room. I'd try making the floor a lighter shade of black and blue with darker lines seperating the boards. Also, is that a black pillow at the head of your bed? I can't really see anything with all those dark colours. You can make a picture dark without actually using black lines. Also, is that supposed to be a white sheet on your bed? It looks like water

Yes, that is a pillow and no, that's not a sheet, it's a blue throw blanket. I'll try and revamp that drawing in a bit. I threw this together in a fit of boredom. Enjoy. :)

Yess! that up there is what I wanted to do, but I don't have the iso skills.

That's amazing, did you do it from a painting, or your brain?

Wow,  cool little Escher room.   What apartment building would be complete without one?

Personally, I think you should put all your energy into one room rather than 3. Perfect one then move on

Yeah, I get really bored with them though. I like moving on to new things and learning new techniques.

I made some lighting changes on my bedroom submission, and updated the disco room.

Yeah, lightening up the bed looks much better.

What happened to the adoring chick in your disco pic?

Date Posted: 10 May 2005 at 9:36pm
Haha, I didn't like the way she looked and even tried to fix her so she looked better, but failed. I even think the guy looks a little too cartoony in the face.

Awwww, I thought the chick looked pretty good....

So when are you going to http://www.pixeljoint.com/thejoint/ - submit your entries to the project? You've got three rooms in this WIP, but you haven't submitted any.

How many are we allowed to submit? If just one, I'd like to take votes one everyone's favorites. I like them all equally.
