Hello!
Since 2006 I'm developing a freeware / open source roguelike RPG. Its name is "LambdaRogue: The Book of Stars". The last version, 1.6, was released in January 2011 and has so far received about 4.200 downloads (Windows + MacOS + Linux).
Roguelikes are turn-based games, either using ASCII characters for display, or small graphical tiles as replacement.
While the game itself, its stories and the overall artwork are rather consistent and (in my opinion) looking good (most of them based on stock resources which I used with permission from the various artists, many from deviantART, where I also posted this job offer), the game's tile sets in the graphics mode are combined from various other free sources, mainly the Angband Gervais tile set, and the Nethack Absurd tile set, plus some additions and editing done by me.
This works, and some people like it, but it is not consistent.
You can find more information on the game at http://lambdarogue.net - http://lambdarogue.net and you can see recent screenshots at https://picasaweb.google.com/md1.hro/LambdaRogue16?authkey=Gv1sRgCNK7z6H7oPzzFA# - https://picasaweb.google.com/md1.hro/LambdaRogue16?authkey=Gv1sRgCNK7z6H7oPzzFA#
The games uses 3 types of tile sets:
- a 20x40 tile set (the small tile set, for players who like to see more at once)
- a 40x80 tile set (a big tile set, where tiles themselves can be more detailed; this has some more tiles than the smaller one)
- a 10x20 tile set (for item icons in UI)
The tiles are not animated.
For now, I would be content if only the small tile set (20x40) could be redone, as most players prefer this. If done well, it would become the default tile set in the next version of the game.
If you're interested, please contact me, either via PM here or via email to mario.donick@live.de.
I am willing to pay 1 EUR per tile, leading to 200 EUR for about 200 tiles. As this is a freeware project, this is probably not much, but perhaps I'm lucky and someone is interested ;) I'd also like to split the payment into 3 or 4 parts (e.g. I receive 50 tiles, you get the 1st 50 EUR, etc.)
Please only serious offers.
Mario
