SimFarm is a pretty fun game in the Sim franchise, dating back to 1993. I like it and its DOS version is available for download on Abandonia.com, so...
*drumroll*
http://aureuscode.com/download.php?file=othergames/SimFarmHacking.zip - I hacked it!
Anyway, most of my hacking utility's features are graphical. I was thinking about making something silly like a Pokémon Farm out of it. Discuss. :-P

(I figured someone else here might have played SimFarm and would like to play around with this.)

My friends and I love old DOS games!! This is very cool. Have you done this for any others?

No, this was actually my first file hacking attempt. I did some memory hacking two or three times before (Metroid: Zero Mission, for example), but this is it for DOS. :P
Edit: I got bored... so I grew candy canes and Christmas trees (with ornaments)!

Hey man,
This is a fantastic tool. Been looking all my life to edit this game and change crops and stuff. However, when activating the program and clicking extract or collect megadata I get :"Run-time error '76':Path no found". Any suggestions on how to correct for this? Crop editing seems to work though
Thanks for your help, Ponti

Make a folder named "data" in the same path as the hacking program, and copy both MEGADATA files to it.

Hey that looks great. I could really use a program like this. But when I click on the link, GameFront says 'File not Found'
Is there anywhere else I can download this program?

Wow, great work DeProgrammer! I REALLY wish I could get this, but like the above poster says the link has gone dead, and I can't find another copy anywhere on the web.
I've played SimFarm for years in my younger days, and know it inside out. If this file could be made available again it would really make my day (I've always wanted to make the red Case IH tractors John Deere Green instead....:o)
Thanks in advance, cheers! Bellarmine

Sorry, guys, I should have had email notifications enabled for this topic, as having a hundred hobbies means I rarely visit this forum. :P I've updated the link in the first post. Enjoy!

Wow, talk about service! Thanks a million DeProgrammer! This is some cool utility. I've already modified the wierd weather-vane animation in SimFarm for DOS just for starters. Now I'm going to paint those tractors John Deere green, and then change some of trees and then......
Thanks very much, the link works great now, and I hope it stays up for a long time. You've made something invaluable for us SimFarm enthusiasts. It's about time someone wrote a mod for this way-under-rated gem of a game. I've got the ORIGINAL boxed versions of both SimFarm for DOS and Windows, they've given me countless hours of enjoyment. Even now when I play this 286-era game, the hours slip by, in this world of 3D and 4GB video cards.....Fancy graphics aren't everything.
All the best! Bellarmine
