Hi guys,
A couple of weeks ago while surfing the web for kendo-information I stumbled upon a site wich had awesome graphics. I did not know what it was called but it resembled old computergraphics.
ANyway, today I made some internet searches and found ut about pixel-art. I decided I wanted to learn more so I drew my first self portrait ever.
I understand it looks completely lousy too you, but I was hoping to get some pointers to what I can do to improve.
Feel free to edit the picture if you want to. The picture is supposed to be me, in my grey hoodie w red university text, my thin black knit hat, and my brown pants and white sneakers.
Thanks for your help!

Hi David,
welcome! Your image is quite amazing for a first piece work.
A forum hint, you don't have to upload an enlarged version of your
picture within this forum, because I think sedge added a feature. You
just can click on an image to enlarge it.
Although your image is quite nice, I think there a some common ways to improve it.
- Add a ride!
- Remove black outlines if possible.
- Don't use too many colors.
Colors in your image: 22
Colors in my version: 13

Thank you D-P!
For the comments AND the sweet ride!
Ill continue to experiment. Its really fun, but difficult.
I have downloaded graphicsgale and it works good. Going to post some pics of my room in the future.
Take care!

One more Q,
What is the best way to add small animations?
For example making the mouth of the picture move.
Cant get it to work in Graphics Gale

Mh, I don't use Graphics Gale, but they say you can make animations with it.
I worked with microsoft gif animator, ulead gif animator and
ImageReady. The workflow was always the same, you have to make
different frames and get them organized.
