Ack, I tried for the longest time to get the front end of this boat done right but I still don't think I have it.

The front end needs to taper up and in on both sides and isometrically, it's hurting my brain. I keep trying to think of how it would work. I eventually thought that the right-front side would not be visible because the right-front side would obstruct it from view. (You would almost be looking down the front-right railing.)

Help, thoughts, life-preserver?

I tried that too. I can get a flat-top ship but I would like the front end to curve up as well and thats where I run into a problem.

it would be the same as feng pointed out but instead of the bottem
horazontal line being strait it would curve up a bit i think

Hmmmm... Those are pretty good. Except it still looks like the front-end curves away from us to the right. Maybe it would look like that even if we got it right.

I have, I'm the one that made the first one.

But I'm struggling with it, and thought the PJ community could lend me some tips. Because I'm only half as good as most of the people here.

So anyways, if we assume that the 'tip' of the ship is still located in the center of the ship, then any raise in the bow of the ship would stay along the same plane as when it's not raised up.

I think ...

I'm trying, really I am but like I said maybe there's no way to make it look right without making your perception go wacky.

Its not good to use sharp corners on round objects. Its ruined.

I personally would pick the first version.

I personally suggest to even lessen the corneredge with one pixel more.

What do you mean it's ruined? You sound like someone just spilled marinara sauce on their favorite sweater. It's a peice of pixel art. It's never ruined. Kinda weird.

Anyways, don't forget the ship has the pointy thing on the front too. Here's a quick, (and I mean quick) hashout of the ship with some sails and no finishing or details... (So no crits on the art, just the perspective.)

Does that look alright?
