http://web1.t43.greatnet.de/pixelacademy <- The site is located here

"The reason why I made Pixel Academy is because Pixelation has fallen and Pixelerate was never build to support rookie artists (do remember that Pixelerate was made before Pixelation went down and thereby was made to support Pixelation by having a place for more (and only) expirienced artists). So Pixel Academy is build for the rookie artist who wants to learn more about pixel artist and the experienced artist that wants to help rookies learn (I would love that) => So if you are one of these types of people you should surf around and post some art or feedback. "

I just launched the forum officially, so it is still fairly new and therefore quiet, though I hope some artists from gmpixel and pixeljunkie wants to learn and thereby gives it a visit.

Thank you very much for your time.

Very cool site header on the forum.

Pixel Joint has similar aims as the academy I suppose, but I really want pixel joint forum to be all about collaboration and projects.

I would love it if all the forums could coordinate our goals a little and cross-advertise each other for what each forum is for. We could put a row of three 88x31 banners at the bottom of the forums with a mini description.  Everybody wins!

  • Pixelerate - Experienced Pixellers Only
  • Pixel Joint - Collaborations and Finished Pieces
  • Pixel Academy - Learning and Teaching

I'm not suggesting that we change the structure of any of the forums... I just thought it would be cool to clarify the aims of the different forums for all the forum visitors to see.

sedgemonkey: That is surely a good idea, I have made a post about it in the mod section at pixelerate about ideas to how the forums can support each others.

It's pretty hard to categorize yourself in one of those groups though..

Sounds good.  Let us know if there is anything we can do to help.

What's wrong with suck ups?

Hey TakeOut... we're all in this together now.  Diced is doing a great job building up the two other forums and he's posted some good ideas for this forum too.

I like having a partnership with the two other forums. I've always wanted this to be a collab forum and I think we can do well with that... we just haven't been able to get a big project going yet.  Once we get "the joint" going we'll actually have our first full blown collaboration project that we can build on.
