I made a pond with a duck, it may be finished, but wanted to see if the forum had any critiques before i submitted it.

the two wave-streaks streaming behind the duck could be done away with imo. duck's wing is a bit small and the duck is should be less side-view and more top-down (you see the top of the rock-stump, but not of the duck's head). grassy area is a bit empty.

So I tried your suggestions, not sure if understood them or pulled them off but:
This is what I have, I actually didn't do anything with grass, I'm not sure what to do.
Here's some other ducks I tried. I think the original is the most visually
appealing, making it hard to pick one that fits better in the piece.
Here's a version with all the grass squished down, but does that make it better? I mean grass is grass, its always empty, I'm not sure how I could make it better other than filling it with stuff, but from a design aspect people say white space is important.

Here's a duck edit. A bit more top-down. Their bodies are considerably longer than their heads.

I don't think he's going for a realistic approach, dpixel. And personally, I feel the cartoony 'rubber-duck' works quite well here.

Thanks for commenting guys, seems like most comments are about duck, I think he's good enough for now... I'll def try to pay attention to perspective in future pieces.
I've submitted it here: http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/68019.htm - http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/68019.htm
