Hello, I have posted picture on gallery, it has been in query for a long time and recently it wants revision because of background

BG is gray to fit the gallery site, so I don't understand what's wrong. The posted image here is actually one frame of many in animation of yawning man.

There are many themes people can choose from.

How is that related to my question?

"BG is grey to fit the gallery site"
It doesn't fit every http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixels/profile_themes.asp - theme . Your pieces are almost entirely outlined in black, so there's no reason for the background to be there.

personally I would have revised it on quality lines. you've got a really messy outline that jumps from 1 to 2 pixels in width randomly, the shield is jaggy, black outlines are being overused and flattening the sprite. and contrast in your palette is generally too low. those large formless feet are rather awkward as well.
I've seen firsthand that you're capable of better constructed, cleaner work.
