Hey guys and gals, I've got to make an isometric stop sign and am running into some difficulty drawing the octagonal shape in the correct way. This is the outline for the octagon and I'm wondering if the measurements are right. I've tried a few different ways and this seems the be the one that just "looks" the most right so far -_-;;
If anyone has any hints on how to work out these types of angles, it'd be a great help. I found a lot of stuff online but they mostly have to do with drawing isometric from top down rather than from the side. Sidewise, I think you don't cut the height in half and for the most part, I feel like I have to resize the thing till the angles can be drawn using two by two or one by one pixel slopes.

A bit of an update. I think I'll prolly need to AA the outer border since all this stuff is going to be looked at real close with zoom in-game so I just have to figure out how to do that without it looking like I'm rounding off the edges -_-;;
Any CC?

Tried some AA and adding some thilth to give it a more worn look.

Far as I can tell, the top left and bottom right edges of the sign are incorrect (too steep).
I tried to make a mathematical iso octagon, checked it in photoshop by skewing 26.570. Cheated with the text too.

Thanks Jeremy, I tried the photoshop skew as well but I read elsewhere that As a general rule, I should stay away from that type of two-one-two lines. I'm currently out so I can't try at the moment but when I get home, I'll see how it looks at the scale I need it to be at which is around maybe 10 to 20% smaller than your example.
On the same angle topic, what do you think about those types of lines? Should I just use what I feel is appropriate? I feel like it's sort of like the issue of banding. I can't really tell if it's a rule of thumb or just guidelines that can be broken as seen necessary. I'd like to become better and the best way is to learn from those with experience -_-;;

Here's what it currently looks like in game. I think I could make some improvements but it'll do for now
