Hello folks, I've been a long time lurker first time poster.
I am looking to animate this fellow, he is the wanderer class from Darksouls. I figured I would post my progress, however slow it will be. As this is my first time animating.
Any critique or general advice would be great.

Looks like you've either saved as a .jpeg or uploaded a .bmp.

I saved it as a .BMP and a .Gale image just to take a break for a few hours, My computer likes to crash.
Do .BMP's not show up on these forums? It isn't animated yet, thus the WIP.

Imagehosts convert .bmp into .jpeg. Use .gif or .png

all that dithering isn't really serving a purpose here, just creating noise/static. dither sparsely. anatomy on the arms looks a little stiff, especially the unarmed hand. face seems a bit large as well.

The head as well, or just the face? I'm really not pleased with the face at the moment, but I can't quite figure out how to fix it. Thank you for the advice I will thin out the dithering and do something else

just the face

also, the torso as well as the arms feels a bit stiff, especially compared to the more dynamic legs. might be good to bend his elbows add a little arch to his posture.

Yeah I am working on doing that atm, I suck at arms huahuahua. I kind of wanted his eyes out of the way or shadowed over but it ended up giving him a derp face. Thank you for the help there. I'm just fiddling with his arms and torso now.. I'll post when I edit it a bit more.
Not all that much more happy with this one... I pretty much had to redraw his entire upper body. but he still looks unimpressive and stiff
