Host it as a png; i think the giffing tore it to shreds. On the actual peice, maybe a smaller canvas would be easier to get started on. Some of my first pieces were 32x32 or so, and they help you practice just as much. Good luck.

It looks like you used some sort of pattern tool to make it look pixelish. If so... that's not pixel art. You're not supposed to use already made patterns. Each pixel is supposed to be laid by hand (with exceptions on flood fills and line drawers).

And always, as a rule of thumb, spend longer than 15 minutes on THAT big of a pixel project, IMO.

Exactly. Looks like auto dither.

It was a PNG, i made it a gif because i had problems posting it. Everything is laid by hand.

I don't mean to offend, but it really doesn't look laid by hand at all. It looks like you used a pattern. The shading is too uniform. There's NO WAY you could done all of that intricate work in 15 minutes without using a pattern tool.

it wouldn't be that hard, i could just make a set of four dots duplicate
the layer. then just delete the dots that exceed the boundary.

Snark, we love yuu.

I suppose you could but.. I don't know. There's too much tiny detail in comparison with overall composition in this for a small amount of time... it doesn't seem right.

yeah, but i looked closer to it and not all the dots are the same, it seems like a slightly inconsistent pattern, with exceptions

..look at us. arguing if a pretty bad pixel is or is not made with special tools. matter of fact is, its not pixel art as pixel art should be. way to little detail for the size.. and thats not compensated by style either or smoothness...

sorry to sound so hard, but dude.. at least make sure the pot isnt that square ok?
