Hello guys,
first of all sorry for my bad english (I try to improve it). Me and my friend are working on a computergame. It is about the history of mankind, how people get smarter and use new technology. It will be a strategie game with reccource managment.
My friend write the source code and I try make a game which make sense.
The resoan why I am here is simple: We need some one who can make the graphic stuff. No one uf us can draw. It is horrible :D . Ye we have only one building ingame. It a brown qube with the letter H for hut on it :D
Yeah... we need realy help in this area. We need some one who can draw building, background and other stuff.
Both of us are huge fans of pixel art. But we not realy sure should be the game in pixel or not. This why I´m realy exiciting of your work.
Importan: Bird's eye perspective. This how the player will see the building in the game.

If you´re interested here we have few quests for you:
-We need a background for the main ingame screen. On this picture we will put buildings. In the first part of the game we are in africa so the background should like a little bit sandy with some dead or "yellow" gras. In the top left corner we should hafe some typical africa trees.

-Now we have only one building. It´s a simple wood hut made of sticks.

Something like but. Note: We are 4000 years B.C. so this hut looks bit advanced. Ours should be more simpel (if possible).

You are also welcome to help us in the development. One head is good 3 are better :D

And if you pay via paypal, that euro would only pay the transfer fee. Are you guys going to sell the game or something?

5€ for a massive background is obscene. You would be much better off just asking for volunteer work and hope someone will do it for a portfolio piece or something.

Sorry I have no idea how hard it is to make such images. I just thought if some one know that he will get some money so he will have more interest for this projekt.
I know 1€ is nothing but we will have a lot of builings in this game. I would say more then 100 (+ units, vehicles, later streets and so on).

prepare 12000 $(maybe more), thats required for the dev work alone(polished), then you should be fine! use kickstarters

Looks like a great site. Do you think I will find some volunteers?

Btw: We don´t want to make money with this game. It´s just a great opportunity to learn.

if you present your game concept properly and make others believe in you, yes. volunteering depends on the overall successrate so work isnt put to waste

@game-proj: is it right that you have nothing to show and the project haven't even started? You can make a prototype or a Alpha Version of your game with bad graphics and then ask for volunteers. It is always a bad idea to ask for help if you have nothing to show. Who ensures that you have the skill to write a game like Stronghold. And btw Stronghold is made by a Studio. And you want to make a clone with 1 developer? I don't say it is impossible, but it's pretty hard.

Hi Henkel,
we working since 04/23 on this game. And it is not a clon of Stronghold. I just uploaded the picture to show the angel of the camera.
If you read my first post: "It is about the history of mankind, how people got smarter and use new technology".

At the moment the game playes 40000 years B.C. :) You maybe think "Whaat?" but it´s cooler then you think.
We have a game menu, time, one building, people, a storage, you can go to hunt and to gather fruits.
We have a long To-Do list but we are getting there :)
