Budget: $500

Introduction:

My name is Todd Grubbs. I'm a hobbyist Developer of iOS apps. I have 2 apps in the Appstore. One of my apps has started generating a modest amount of revenue. I believe If I hire an artist/designer to provide professional artwork for the icon, launch screen, background textures,  user interface buttons, and game cards, it will have a positive impact on the app sales.

App:

The app is called Word Charades and if you've played the board game Taboo you'll know everything you need to know to understand the functionality. You can see the overall scope of the project by downloading the app and checking out all the different screens. I would prefer the artist be familiar with iOS app conventions so the ability to access the App itself via the Appstore is a requirement for submitting a bid. The app is currently 1.99, email me if you desire a promo code. (toddgrubbs@grubbsiedev.com)

Artwork Needs:

Here is a zip file that contains all .png assets that need replaced in this project: http://grubbsiedev.squarespace.com/storage/wordcharadesassets/Word%20Charades%20PNG%20Assets.zip - http://grubbsiedev.squarespace.com/storage/wordcharadesassets/Word%20Charades%20PNG%20Assets.zip - http://grubbsiedev.squarespace.com/storage/wordcharadesassets/Word%20Charades%20PNG%20Assets.zip

*There is one missing asset - and that is a plain image that takes up the entire device screen that makes up the background texture.

It's a universal app, so I need low res and 2x res images for both iPad and iPhone versions for the Icon, launch screen, background textures, game card and game card textures, and UI Buttons. That’s why there are 4 of each image. I'm using UIKit and built-in navigation controllers, so the navigation bars and buttons found within Navbars etc do not require new artwork.

Timeline:

I don't have a specific timeline requirement for this project but would expect a timeline be established upon acceptance of a bid.

Bids:

This is my first experience contracting a professional artist. I have established a budget of $500 based on what I expect to return in app sales for 1-2 months. I feel this is adequate as there really aren’t that many distinct images, but if it is not please still submit bit a bid because I do have a flexible budget for this project should the proposal sufficiently justify a larger amount, I would accept bids above the $500 budget.
After receiving a few bids I will review the submissions and based on the quality if the bid and price I’ll make a selection. Availability/desire to work on a 2nd upcoming project of mine will be a plus. (see the note below)

If you are interested please email me at toddgrubbs@grubbsiedev.com and include:
A link to your portfolio
Your bid for the project, including the amount and proposed timeline.

Note:

I am rebuilding my other app to take advantage of game center’s turn-based gaming APIs, which I believe will allow me to generate enough income to hire a designer to create the visuals for that game as well. I hope a successful partnership with this app will lead to a 2nd job working on “Flag Wars”, my 2nd iOS app which will have a more assets and command a larger budget.  Flag wars is a turn-based strategy game similar to Chess and Checkers, but with a capture the flag element. If you’ve played Stratego you’d be very familiar with the functionality of Flag Wars.
