 So this is the fist pixel piece I've created that I'm not completly embarased in displaying. Comment and criticize so that I may evolve :D

I think its too simple and with a lot of jaggies. You could use way more colors and better ones. Quick edit: Added perspective, added hue shift, added more colors and thats it. By the way, why did you posted it on the gallery if its still a WIP? |

Look at references. Copy the way light falls on the references. It looks like you've drawn what you think a skull looks like. e: left this window open for too long :L |

Philippe's edit is more of a completely different piece in a different style. Adding perspective can be a nice touch or not, depending on what you try to do, if it is part of a scene or it is more of an icon. I'd say from this I would either go into something more realistic or more cartoony, it's a bit in between both which is why it may lack tension and not look that interesting. The animation as well is a bit of gimmick at this stage, I'd rather developp it or remove it. ------------- Une signature? Comme Zorro ou Batman? |
