If it's going to be the last one, then I would suggest some extra variance in design. Instead of just size, maybe color or attachments to the ship.
Also, for the size, make it a little more noticeable. Instead of just a few pixel-difference, give it a very obvious difference. |

I really like the third one! it is a bit more than a cube, the different size windows are nice and the highlight on the wing really finishes it!
