My new game company needs a logo.
It should be pixel art, high quality.

Company Info: Dmitry Volevodz Studio,
Job Info: Paid job (50$) for logo.
Paid.
email address: dimavolevodz@gmail.com
company website: none yet
previous projects: none yet

Payment: 50$

What I need:
Two logos one in full resolution -
1.640 x 360 (a rectangle of this size that is completely or almost completely filled with logo) aligned in the center of 640x 960 image.
And second one: downgraded from first one, it must look virtually the same, but not just downscaled but done hand-made so it looks clear and nice on this resolution as well.
2. 320x180 (a rectangle of this size that is completely filled with logo (or almost completely). This logo should be placed in center of 320x480 image.
Portrait orientation.

Requirements:
1. It should be pixel-art. Maybe some heavy pixelation at its best.
2. It might be minimalistic or it can be full with stuff, if you manage to present this in a beautiful way - I leave this up to you.
3. "Dmitry Volevodz Studio" should be the highlight of the logo. It's the name of our game studio. You can experiment with Studio starting with capital letter or not, it doesn't matter.
4. You can add any elements you like, style is up to you, but it should look neat and attractive somewhat.
5. You might want to experiment with PC senior regular font (again, up to you).
6. It should be somewhat in limited palette (again, up to you, but that's what I think)
7. Old DOS games, 320x240 era, VGA, etc, should be your inspiration.

Price can be discussed with talented and experienced individuals.
I can pay half upfront if I like your portfolio a lot.
This image needs to be royalty-free, as in it becomes mine without any exceptions, and you transfer all rights to it to me.

If you really want this done, you're going to have to willing to pay more money, and I mean, a lot more.

Even if there were royalty fees, and and some exceptionally brutal restrictions on usage, I'd still say that $100 is a little low. You're looking for a corporate identity. A logo that you'll use to identify your company with the greater public and other businesses through your games, and presumably, a website, business cards, mailers, e-mails, flash banners, etc, etc....

The point I'm trying to get at is that, in the design world, the more you want to do with a specific piece of art or design, the more you have to pay for it.

$100 may be enough to have a moderately experienced designer send you one rough sketch of a logo. A logo in North America (with unrestricted rights for usage) runs about $1000-$3000 on the low end for a small business. That's how much you should be expecting to pay, and that's if they like you.
