I have created a brand new avatar for me. It is a PNG file with the following characteristics:

Filename: haashavtr.png

Dimensions: 99x96

It has a RED BG that definetly shouldn't be there! I have set this red color to be a transparency.

Now... It WAS transparent on the site the moment I submitted it. It IS transparent on my computer (thumbnail). It's NOT transparent on the site anymore. I was sure it was smaller than that....

Now... any Idea on what went wrong? I'm going to remove the pic and submit again. It's horrendous with the red BG....

IE doesn't like PNG, that's why it doesn't support PNG transparency. And if you want to set it as your avatar, the max avatar size is 64*64 here. :\

ahhhhhhhhhhhh thats why.... It was the first time I have seen it on IE6. I will save it as GIF and submit it once more. Then, I'll delete the previous PNG icons. Hope this works.

Yeah.... I had the 100X100 size on my head when creating the avatar...

Thanks for the help.

rather change browsers than formats
IE hinders the common progress of web design.. and all (not that I had a grasp of all those new standards other browsers try to implement ...)
