Sup guys. Feel free to tell me if this is the wrong place for this, I'm not sure.
Anyway, I've taking up making vintage style 2d video games as a hobby and I wanted to make a spinning DNA strand for the start menu of my latest work. I've never tried to do this before and it's really confused me. I didn't really know what I was doing to start with, so I just made the basic template I want to go with. Anyone mind giving me a little guidance? how do I make this spin? do I just draw out each individual frame and put them together as a gif? and if so, how do I even go about that? how do I make the parts of the individual frames line up?
Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

You don't wanna draw that. Just program it, either draw it in realtime or pre-render it. It just takes some x-coords of a circular motion.
