Those are literally the nicest stone tiles ever (everything you made out of stone) and I do agree with you on the grass. What I can tell from this piece is that you prefer to work with man-made things(?) and not organic structures (like, you prefer walls and not flora/fauna) because your tree doesnt seem to have a natural foliage: You have made big "sheets" of one leaf, instead of giving the effect of individual leaves (if that makes sense?).
Thanks for the compliments :) I think the fact the stone tiles are higher quality comes from the fact that to this point, I've received a lot more advice on the stone tiles than I have the tree tiles. The tree is actually still in its first iteration. The stone tiles are in their 8th or so . Here's the original, just for perspective.
I did a bit of work on the grass transitions, I tried out the dark line to add depth to it, and I think it worked pretty well. I think I'm going to work on it just a little bit more to add a little more definition.
And The tree leaves look too wavy, it seems more like a pile of raked leaves rather than tree leaves. Also, the leaves portion is very very round. I would almost say instead of one giant ball of leaves, you should make several smaller leave spheres, then blend them together.
I followed the advice both of you gave me. I blended a couple of spheres of leaves together and put more work into individual leaf detail. It took a while, I don't think I'm going to do much to the leaves for a while because it was sort of tiring. It still sort of ended up like a large sphere in this iteration, but I think it looks substantially better.
Thank you very much for your critiques :)
