Hey, does anyone know of a software that allows you to take tiles and make make a large set of tiles quickly? Something like, you insert a tile, and tell it how many tiles wide and tall you want. Manually putting tiles one by hand is a real chore.

I'm not sure if I'm explaining this well, so let me try to show you.

Take this...

and turn it into this...

Use the Grid (set sprite/tile size) and Tilemap-modes in Grafx2. Just paste your sprite once and it gets drawn in all the tiles.

Are you saying that Tiled includes functions for drawing tiles?
Because as far as I know it only edits maps. I'd be pleased to be proven wrong about that.

I understood that the author does not want the preparation, if not creating maps with ready-made tiles.

Sorry for my english.
