I'm working on a business project, which is essentially a browser-based strategy game (something along the lines of Die2Nite, Ikariam, Travian and such).
I am a business student, and completing my master's this summer. My school is supporting my project, and i'll be switching to it full time during the next few months. Currently, i'm building a humble prototype in order to raise funds to go ahead with the game development.
I'm looking for an artist who'd be willing to help me out on developing this prototype. A large part of the job is pixel art, and other parts will include concept art and illustration for the website.
Although i'm currently unable to pay, the protoype work will not be overly heavy, and the goal for me is to find someone who i can hire when funds are raised. I wont pay myself a dime before you are paid for your work.
The game itself moves through several eras, but most of it occurs during the industrial age. You'll be designing buildings, machinery, chimneys and black clouds of smoke, but also fields, houses lakes and mountains. And other stuff. It's very cynical and looking at the effets of capitalistic extremism on society and its environment. You'll be very much free to give your personal feel to the game atmosphere.
I'm open to collaboration over the internet, but i'd have a very heavy preference for someone who resides in France, and ideally Paris or Lyon.
