Hello there.  I am Abster, the programmer/coder for an upcoming game project called Constancy:  Roa.  It is inspired by the Mega Man X series of games.  However, this is an evolution of that formula by having its own unique aesthetics that blends side scrolling platforming and shooting with combo oriented gameplay.  We are looking for pixel artists that can specialize in background design, and can maintain a constant communication with other staff members like myself and the project lead, Damian.  We use instant messaging like Skype and AIM a lot.  If you want to work with us, send me a message here or to my e-mail.  You can also go to the website for our game and send a message there or sign up as a follower to our blog/forum.  We will pay any artists who are able to work for us to completion, and are in it for the long haul.  We already have a copyright for this project and are intended to make it a commercial work.  Before we can consider you, we need some drafts to see what you're capable of.

To give you an idea of how the game looks, here is an early screenshot of the game in progress.

To see what you're capable of, take this sprite of the main character, Roa, and put her into a futuristic/sci-fi setting, such as this command room.  The environments she will be in will be quite varied in the end however.  We can discuss the various areas she will be in.

Allow me to iterate that we need people that are genuinely interested in this as a game project, and not as a mere opportunity for employment.

Since one person already questioned the game's budget, we intend to pay via a percentage of profits.  Payment up front can be done, but it will be taken out of the percentage profits.  Our plan is to get a substantial demo going, and then do a kickstarter to get additional funds for the project.  Level design is already established for the current level, and we can give specifics upon being asked.
