Hi! I started another pixel art of a platform game. His name is "Fred, the panda."
Did the scene already, but I need help on the character, I have it from the front, but not sideways.

I need tips!

The background looks good.

As for spriting, you need to think about the panda from a side view. Even if it sucks, you can make a first attempt and analyze what is wrong, if something's wrong. The best thing to do is to get some reference pictures.

On closer inspection I see messy spots in the blue back ground of the background. Those spots of brown on the trees look weird.

Had stopped working with this mockup, but I decided to go back to it...
I'm in doubt about what to do on the trunks of trees. The character already almost done. Tips?

I like the grass it looks pretty neat. Good job so far but I'm afraid I can't really offer much except that the trunks look kind of akward :/.

Bottom ground tiles could be more seamless.

The trees are proportionally really off, or at least unattractive. The trunks are either too stubby or the leaf canopies are too meek.

@jalonso Do not quite understand what you mean. If you can explain better?

The proportion of the treetops (leafy part)vs. the trunks looks wrong. There may be trees with this proportion but here its just off. Think of it this way, why would a trunk that fat in such a lush environment as a forest make such a meek canopy. In a desert maybe but not here. That trunk would flourish. Tree sense :p

@jal I have not changed much of what you said, but I made this new edit

Also changed some things like the name of the game (which is no longer Fred).
Do not know what I put, I'm still thinking...
