Snake Hill Games has yesterday posted their kickstarter for their 2d art preprocessing software, Sprite lamp.
This software will be of interest to anyone making pixel art for games that support lighting.
What the program does is it creates Normal,Height and other image maps from hand drawn 2d images so they can be lit in real time by a game engine as seen below.
In full disclosure I am a good friend of the programmer for this software and have been helping him beta test the program for a while.
Im sure you can all agree the potential for some pretty neat looking pixel art games is pretty high.
So please check out the kickstarter that is been doing gangbusters.

If anyone is interested to see what their pictures will look like put through this process please PM me, I will let you know what you need to send me and I will make a nice animated GIF for you to oggle at.
