I'm making a replication of my room for "The Joint". The good thing is
that my room really has equivalent side lengths, so it's going to be
very close to the real thing.
(first iso piece for me)
To-Do: (edited(9), might need to "reload page")
*big blueish leather office chair
*more drawers
*pinwall(my pinwall is huge!)
*shelves
*computer,monitor,scanner,printer,5.1 sound system
*clutter(paper,pens,boxes...) on the left white table
*heating
*more clutter(empty mineral water bottles)
*some shadows
*me
*stuff on shelves
FINISHED(9)
P.S.: YES, my curtains really are that ugly.

That's looking fantastic so far! I guess you're gunna add a floor aswel?
It all looks really great, although the curtains might be a tad too bright and contrasted for the rest of the room. I'll look forward to the finished piece. Oh yes, and this thread should be in the joint board.

Thanks. I'm not yet sure what i'm going to do with the floor(IRL:
gray-'grained' carpet) and the wallpaper(IRL: just white with some
structural bumps on it), so far i have just choosen colors that are
near the overall color of them.
Ah, silly me, of course i just thought 'work in progress' and put it
straight into the WIP section without noticing that there was an extra
one for The Joint.

You're right jalonso, I'll see, if i can change the wood to something less vibrant.
Hehe yup miau, they are indeed from Ikea and they have a nice large working surface(150cm x 80cm) each.
Thanks for all the praise.

Just a tiny update today. Added the computer between the tables(midi
tower) and those black paper sorting boxes on the left desk.
Ah almost forgot, I also changed some palette entries to make the wood tones less saturated.

Added my huge pinwall, more clutter, some of the empty mineral water
bottles that are usually spread all over the place, pens, paper,
kneaded eraser, normal eraser, brush, ruler, paper on pinwall, tiny
note on pinwall and started working on the shelves.
Squeazing in all the details is requiring me more pushing of pixels back and forth than I thought. It's going to take me some more time to finish this.

These details make it really interesting to look at.
Somewhat similar to my room actually... apart from the fact that yours is not as messy yet and there'd need to be a horrid cable clutter going on below those desks XD

I just like to keep my room as clean as possible, but regarding the
cables under the desk, oh yes there IS a horrid cable clutter to be
found. :)
I added some idea of cables on top of the desk here as well but kept it minimal to not spoil the viewability too much.
I've also added the remaining shelves, an instance of me(in the door)
and rollable drawer boxes and spent some time on putting in decent
shadows.
Almost finished now, just currently a little exhausted, so I will put in the stuff on the shelves later.

Its coming along great. I don't think you have to include everything
(cables) to keep it realistic. It's pixelart not a photo. I really like
this soft edge style you are using, but the door looks odd with the
outline color you chose, you used the grey to outline it. Try the
darkest brown from the furniture where the printer is and see how that
looks. The guy/you is placed in the area where the wall falls, this
will be blocked on the joint. Move him in slightly so he is in the
room. One last detail you have a double line in brown where the desk
with the printer meets the heater with this soft look it
looks.........like........$#!+
ps. your step by step image is really nice for WIP purposes.

Fixed the door outline, moved 'myself' a bit and also fixed that dark brown line you mentioned jalonso.
Finally added all the stuff on the shelves(DVD player, books, cds, zip bags, cactus, wacom pad, c64, amiga500, boxes, joystick).
All finished. Going to submit it now, after cutting it out and fixing the transparency.
Thanks again everybody for helping me with suggestions and praise.

The finished result look really good. But how come it is not going into the 10th floor or anywhere at The Joint?
