Hey everyone. Thanks so much for the tutorial stickies and comments etc. I've learned a lot in the past month or so and look forward to learning a lot more.
I worked as a Flash artist and have done 3D art and now I'm doing a pixel art game.
My current project (project WIP name has been Make Choice, which will change) is in an early Newgrounds Beta and they'd like to show work and be active in social media with updates etc. I'd also like to share things here, get feedback, and get people to check out our game.
My question is I don't see anything on this Pixel Joint site that's watermarked. Should I watermark every piece that I put up or not watermark anything? Are people only posting work once a project is complete? I think they'd like me to post as much as possible while the project is going. What's a good trade-off between surprise and hype-building I wonder?
How should I display tiny tiles in a way people can actually see them? This site is great about allowing you to scale and see the image larger, but other places don't. Should I be blowing them up in size by 200 or 300% or what? My understanding is that our project will have a 200% size version and yes I'm trying to keep these sizes in mind when making the art.
Right now most of the work has been tilesets of 16 at 16x16.
I'll probably want to post here, Facebook and Deviant Art at least and hear some bad things about stolen work on DA.
I appreciate help here and look forward to sharing more stuff. Thanks!
