I am making a new game - a tennis game with great ball physics and game play mainly targeting consoles (ouya, shield and more).
It will be a descendant of the famous and in my opinion world best 2d-tennis "Final match tennis" (PC-Engine 1991).
I think that pixel art would still be great today (as we have an indie pixel art revival) and it suits best the context, where I will focus totally on gameplay. but having lovely graphics is a big key too, in any case.
For pixel character animations there would be two options.
a) Animation done with "spine" (esoteric software)
b) or pixel sheets for all characters (which would require more pixel work)
So maybe you already have an idea of what the spirit behind that game will be. I am hoping to fill a gap in the current market (almost no sports games and of those present most games are no fun lacking good handling)
Would you be interested in such a game? Have you done pixel work for existing games so far? Please provide a portfolio. Prices and/or revenue sharing model will be discussed according to your skill.
