before you reply, i am 17, in college, a so called "indie" game dev, and new to this website today.. looking for inspiration for pixel art, also a sprite hobby dude. going to start sharing some of my projects soon, but before i do that.. i need to warn you pixel artists out here on pixeljoint about a potential giant theft website.

this website hosts many stolen arts (not just pixels) from pixeljoint, deviantart, and other art websites. mostly pixel art so i've seen.. and original characters that belong to other people which i do not approve of. users are getting paid a fair bit of $$$ for everyone who visits their page so it seems! no one however, creates their own art so i've just found out; it is all theft, claiming it to be their own, no laws or rules that stop this neverending art theft, and hundreds of "kids/teens" so the site seems to be full of.. earning cash for our art, and being rude and hesitant to take it off.

it is all faux. someone control this site before millions off da and other sites flock to get their art taken off.

i found a few works of mine stolen off my personal dev blog for one of my newest games, a whole set of pixel art - used in a free "website" type thing where users can sign up and create a community or free virtual world, similar to smartfoxserver but completely 100% free and paying. they had claimed it as their own, as if they made it and it was their official art, attacking me on my deviantart account accusing me of "stealing" with a string of lies and abusive language, when they had taken it from me originally - first. i had traced it back to my blog.

i kindly asked them to take my art off, but then they blackmailed me with their support community on the website, making people impersonate my account and further accusing me of stealing and thefting my own pixel art. later the site owner comes in called "niranbd" and i tell him this user and whole website is full of stolen art from other sites and making cash for views, and he/she accuses me and simply bans me from the website, telling me to never come back. with some hacking knowledge i had gotten the art removed.. but users from the website continued to spam and hatefully abuse my blog and da until i decided i couldn't take it anymore.

this website really doesn't know how to handle it's users, and me being in college i don't have time to deal with ruthless brats who wish to steal and expose my game art. i have seen art from here aswell just being stolen and claimed, and that is how i found this website..

The website is called http://myfirstworld.com - myfirstworld.com Please don't mention me there. The forum/community part where i was hatefully abused then all of my comments were deleted, is called Groups. Myfirstworld.com/groups.asp is the link.. You can get to the trashy little websites by clicking on the profiles there. Terrible navi...

Thanks for reading.. I just warn you of the massive art theft issues and horrible community and support here. You would expect a website like this to have rules and TOS plus copyright laws and things.. But seems YOU can do whatever you want... and abuse people how you like.. Mostly populated by ignorant teenagers who use it as a dating website.. Nothing on this website is real. It is other's work, and i am not happy with this website at all.

Full of stolen pixeljoint art. Beware.

Sorry if wrong section. :)

Tried looking around to find stolen PJer art and did not find any. Where did you see them?

A lot of this is inaccurate. This is a website for young kids, as in 8 year olds. They earn NO MONEY WHATSOEVER. They also pay NO MONEY WHATSOEVER. Is this created just to fool people or did you genuinely believe that? If so, where did you get the impression about money given to 8 year olds?

A lot of it might be inaccurate. But that's not the main point. The main point is: do they have permission for all of the artwork on the site?

Both of you are super new members here so I'm not going to draw too quick a conclusion, but it is very plausible that on a site such as that there will be a lot of stolen work.

The way you wrote it, it sounds like a creepypasta...

If a site is using your work without permission and you want them to stop, asking politely rarely works. Instead write, or have someone write for you, a strongly worded legalese letter as a Cease and Desist. Keep threats to a minimum, if at all, and usually the letter alone scares them enough to take it down. Search online for 'cease and desist' letters for reference.
