I was binging on super mario last week when I got the idea to make a wall paper, I didn't really know what I wanted it to look like at first but it fell together pretty quickly. I used the pause feature on my emulator so that I could reproduce sprites and tiles from the games. Then I found the spriter's resource yesterday, which would have saved me a lot of time as a reference. Anyways this is what I've got so far.

It looks cool but know that the Pixeljoint gallery does not accept this kind of pixelart because you did pixel it but you copied someone's else's pixelart, pixel by pixel which makes this fanart for your own personal use and theft/plagiarism for public display.

There is a grey area for pixelling some existing piece that is not pixelled but on a case by case basis because we do enforce plagiarism and defend all artist rights to their own work.

Yeah, I had no intention of submitting it to the gallery, this is just for my desktop wallpaper and my phone if I can resize it to 1280x720 without it looking like crap. I just wanted some critique on anything I can do to fix it up, cause I know it's lacking.

No matter how much or how little I dithered it just didn't end up looking right. I left it in for that frame, but in subsequent frames gradually removed it. I guess I was going for a sort of half assed phase in effect and in the end it just looked like blurred lines.
