I've decided to start posting some WIPs to grow faster as an artist. The main thing I feel I need to improve on are poses. They still feel stiff and unnatural. This piece is still rough, so I'd like to get some feedback on the pose before I start adding details/polishing.

Thinking about trying something like this, with Pyramid Head, Eddie, and Maria in the blood stain.

Are you using a reference? When you're learning to pose characters, it is really, really beneficial to do some research and study the body.

Not any one reference, just a couple quick google images before I began. I find its difficult to find an image completely accurate to poses I want to create.

I guess the closest thing for this image would be someone getting arrested. I'll look into that and tweak it a bit.

Edit:

Refined the blood a bit more. I dont think theres a whole lot more to change with the pose, except smoothing the extended arm more. I'll probably move into polishing soon.

The form of the hand looks a little awkward still. I think you might want to move it down some pixels and increase it's size just a tiny bit. The blood looks good.
