Hello!
We are two university students who are developing a game in RPG Maker
XP (don't groan yet) for the experience and folio inclusion.
What we're looking for is a talented pixel artist who is willing to
undertake this project with us. Obviously at the moment, this is an
unpaid (see below) position, however it would be ideal for someone who
is looking to develop their experience and resume, and is passionate
about releasing quality entertainment.
Details:
The Project (short version):
An RPG game with a grunge \ sci-fi theme. The game features heavy
scripting in RMXP's native Ruby language, which we are using to
impliment custom systems (ie Character development, combat etc.) Every
aspect of the game will be entirely original (music, graphics, story,
gameplay).
Essentially what makes this different from every other RPG Maker game
out there is 100% original content, and the heavy use of scripts. Not
to mention an interesting story that isn't full of plot holes or
spelling mistakes.
If you would like more detailed information on the game, please PM me.
What we need:
As we are developing in RMXP, the graphic guidelines are easy to work with. Templates can be provided by us if you require them.
Ideally, you would be able to produce tilesets and player \ NPC
sprites. We do need character battle graphics etc. however don't want
to overburden you.
We can provide specific information and sketches \ examples on
characters and locations that you will be able to use to design
tilesets and characters.
Pay?
As of now, no. Sorry. We really wish we could. RMXP allows you
to distribute your work as shareware, which, after the project is
completed, we may consider (with your input) in which case, you'd
recieve a percentage, but as of writing, there are no plans to accept
any money for this game. We're doing it for the love.
- What you do recieve is credit in a fully realised project.
- Links and promotion in any promotion of the game.
- We are also able to provide written references which you could use to gain employment.
As the project is in it's infancy at the moment, it is hard for me to
elaborate here, however for more information or to register your
interest, send me a PM. We can provide our emails at request.
We'd love to see some of your work, if you're interested. Please post examples here or PM them through.
Thanks for your time!
