 Hey all, I am Fil Razorback and I'm a Flash Actionscript coder. About 10 months ago, I started coding a game called Phen. It's some kind of castlevania-like game but after all this time, I still have no spriter 1, that's why I need you ! First, let's talk about the game : The plot : Philippe de Kolimine and his brother Edgard de Kolimine get lost in a huge castle while they were searching for their dead father's legacy. They must escape from the castle which is full of traps and monsters. The ambient : The game has a very mysterious ambient, the characters don't know why there are monsters in the castle nor how big it is. It is a bit weird but not scary. The castle is divided into five areas : green, blue, yellow, red and icy. Green <=> beginning Blue <=> mysterious Yellow <=> Many riddles Red <=> Many fights Icy <=> Ending The gameplay : The player control the two brothers (he can switch whenever he wants) and try to explore the castle. His objectives are : -To escape the castle solving riddles (turn on some switches etc etc...) and fighting bosses -To find as much money as he can. There will be a "richest players" board. The gameplay is focused on exploration and dexterity at fighting and jumping. There may be some RPG elements in it too (but it's not coded yet). What is done : -An old test engine was done in summer 2005, you can try it here : http://darkgimpy.free.fr/Phen - http://darkgimpy.free.fr/Phen Sidenotes : There are only two maps, it takes forever to load, the musics and sprites are copyrighted to Namco. Use the arrowkeys to move, doublejump included. -A nearly complete map editor : http://fil.razorback.free.fr/phenbuilder - http://fil.razorback.free.fr/phenbuilder which can store maps to an XML file. Only the ennemies and savepoints are missing. -A complete new engine which reads these XML files is being coded (Actually, the display is fine) -Some musics (title screen and blue area) -The title screen : http://fil.razorback.free.fr/Phen/ecranTitre.html - http://fil.razorback.free.fr/Phen/ecranTitre.html -Some graphics (platform tiles, walls and backgrounds. It could be re-done tough). What do we need? We need one person who could draw the character's and monster's spritesheets. If the person wants to, some other things could be improved.
