Ok so I've realized that I ditch every WIP I've ever done. So I've decided to not ditch this one...

if shading is an issue then practise shading. Start with basics like a
sphere and a cube, work up the complicated organic shapes slowly, build
your confidence. As to this WIP looks okay, pretty sketchy right now, his straight leg looks fatter than his bent one and his hip looks odd the way it overlaps with his bent leg's thigh. Once you've cleaned it up these issues might be resolved, but bear them in mind eh? ------------- www.semesteratsea.com |

for learning to draw things like hands and feet (they're my bane too)
I've been told that practising them in regular anatomy until you
understand them that way and THEN subjecting them to stylization is the

I soooo just did I better job on that hand! I also made the lines smaller. :]  The legs are looking a bit limp and rubbery. I'm trying to work on them. -------------

Yeah, it looks alot better that way. I tried the white and red, but I didn't like it. So I stuck with the original pallete. -------------

 -> -> Alright so with the help from Shark on learning how to properly shade I've gotten this. I tweeked the eyes he re-made as well as created on for the left side. I think the face looks a hell of a lot better now. As well as the hands. [UPDATE] Started working on some more random shading on the face. As well as some highlights in the hair. -------------

I'll fix up the crotch as I move my way down. I changed the eye color to the same color as the overalls. I'm trying to stay low on colors here. -------------

btw the skin pallette was made by bisque, she used to have some amazing pallettes on her site, they tought my a lot about pallettes and i just thought its a gd resource to include. ------------- Snark, we love yuu. |

| its comeing out very nice, the shadeing on the face reminds me of pokemon :D, what i think you need to fix is his ear, its shaded weaird cuz its a dif light soruce then your giveing us, also i know its still in WIP but i think adding some contrast to the jeans and gloves would help it alot more, well thats my 2 cents cant wait to see the end :D |

Right now I'm working mainly on the face. Shark said the same thing about the ear...  I wanted to leave it because it looks weird when I try to change the light source.. But I'll definitly give it a try.  -> -> -> Hair and moustache began shading.. [Update] New ear. [Update] Even better new ear, touched up and fixed the air and moustache. [Update] Started to work on shading the hat. :] -------------

his nose doesn't look like its connected to his face =o also I'd ditch a shade of black for the hair, because you can barely tell it's there. souly can you explain what all those arrows mean. I understand its the
light source but I don't get what is primary and seondary. Use colored
arrows so that its easier to crit the folds.

yeah i used many arrows, perhaps too many. basically the ones
going south east are ambience from fireball. and the one s going south west from the primary lightsource. ------------- Snark, we love yuu. |

The highlights on the neck seem off because I think the drastically large head would block the primary light source. Also, the fireball would cast a small hilight on his right side of the hat. And to me, the crouch looks like it has been split in two. ------------- Every pixel counts, even the dead ones. |

I'm adding a secondary lightsource soon, I just have to get the fire ball sorted out. Alright fireball is taking shape! I fixed the left leg and the pant folds/shading, thanks to Shark for helping me with it.  -------------

add some of the darker reds and black to the fireball, it seems to bright. ------------- got game?
