I made this little piece as some some of 'pixel-snack', but I'd still like some crits to improve.

That is soo cute! (and cool)
It's an odd colour for a tank, but thats not really a problem. It would look awesome animated.

This looks great
What is the line supposed to be on the back of the gun?
It looks out of place to me.
Like larwick said, thats an odd colour for a tank, but if your happy with it go with it

'Tis a tank from the Antarctican Army, and the blue-ish colour is
because of the ice and stuff. The real reason is because most games use
a blue vs. red and I wanted something else than a dark blue tank.
The line on the back is supposed to be some sort of antenna, as seen on
a lot of tanks. Mostly used to communicate with HQ. I don't really know
if it should go on the turret or on the chassis though.
Thanks for the kind words guys!

not really liking all the dithering on this, and it seems a bit too round for a tank too i think.. i prefer the 3rd version from the anim over the final

Thanks. Antenna = read further in post.

Er, the gun is the design? I chose a short and fat gun because I wanted
to emphasize the cartoon-ish-ness. Going with extreme proportions is my
style I guess.

something if I don't think it's an improvement myself. I'm a
dither-addict, I know. Still, just because you're snader:

Anyway Very nice work, it's a cute little tank (and by the size of the gun barrel, it can pack a major punch!)

Anywho, great tank, and I like the dithered style except it needs some aa maybe on the outline.

anti-alias would be kinda impossible. Meant to be a game sprite. I
might be able to stick some AA on the inside, but I don't know if
that'd be worth the colours. I'll see what I can do.

You can probly reuse colors; I meant mostly near the highlights, and for future reference, I always mean aa on the inside. Oops.

That looks sweet Brian, nice and chunky! The cannon could perhaps be a tad thinner, because at the moment it seems to connect oddly to the turret. Nevertheless, verry cool.
EDIT: Note i didn't see Brain's second update before i posted this.

i notice that the two wheels inside the treads are ovals... and i agree
with Larwick on the howitzer. Other than that, i like how your tanks
are simplistic and rounded. the dithering looks fantastic.

(just posting old image again for the sake of second page)

--

Placed turret one pixel down, hope it does the trick. It does for me at
least. Also changed the antenna because it was bugging me horribly.
i notice that the two wheels inside the treads are
ovals... Not sure what to say about this, since I don't want to
be an annoying pissbag that refuses to take critique. Anyhow, I figured
for the design of the tank there should be as much space inside as
possible, so I 'made up' this system of a wheel (or acyually some sort
of band) rotated by two smaller wheels. This way, the tank would also
have more grip on the tracks.
I always make up stories when drawing.

Looks great, and having the turret farther down makes it seem much more solid. How many different versions are you going to make?

I try to maintain the whole cartoony style throughout the series. And I
have no idea how much more I'm going to make. I was planning on a heavy
tank, s flame tank and a missile launcher at least. And wether these
are for a game... Don't know yet. I'd like to make a game out of it,
but knowing myself I wouldn't finish it anyway.
ALSO: Tremendous thanks for all the compliments everyone. ^_______^
