Hello everyone,

I would like some feedback on this isometric horse sprites.
What is your opinion about their quality for a game ?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Tail on the top animation should be more fluid. Not to mention the tail is pillow shaded.

As for the the bottom animation the back left leg seems to kick out awkwardly, not bad all in all though.

I agree with the tail issue, the kicking is pretty good, but maybe the black leg  should kick a little higher. And if it's possible make it even more fluent, much better, but it's ok.

I don't like the pure white in the legs, in some frames (specially in the kicking animation) looks like a bone. :S

Issues aside, damn, it's great!

Thank you too !
Could you explain better what you mean by more "fluent"?
Are you referring to the back black leg, or to the whole sprite animation? If it is the second, you mean add more frames inbetween so the animation looks smoother?

Not add some frames but make them better, more representative of the movement you want to represent. It's a hard thing to explain. The tail feels like it's a stick, and it should move more "in a liquid way" like bending itself like a horse tail, more naturally (more like in the riding animation).
For the kicking legs, sincerely, i think they are really good.
More opinions about that would come in handy.

I feel like in the bottom one, he kicks out again too quickly. I'm not sure about the physics of horse bucking, however, so don't quote me on it.

Also - the man's head is bigger than the horse's. I'm assuming it's a style.

Hmmm I actually think the opposite haha. The frames when he kicks out aren't fast enough rendering a laggy animation when the horsey kicks out. I also quite like the havbo hotel character ( he seriously looks like a habbo hotel character) he looks totally under dressed for horse riding though.

Edit: motion blur would be perfect for the horses kick.

Oh! That actually makes sense. This is why I don't comment on WIP stuff. xD Ignore me, OP.

The front hoof looks like it's blinking between kicks
