I am a mobile developer that currently programs in objective c (i have not made the jump to swift yet)  I am looking for an artist to work commission.
I am not part of a company,  however i do have expectations,
The art sold to me is my property and not for distribution.
The art may not be added to your portfolio -  You will get credit by having your name or tag in the app / game.
I will discuss what i need in more detail once finding the right person but for now all i need is 1 or 2 backgrounds.  and 4 - 8 sprites.  I am in no hurry as i will be looking for the right person.
Please let me know  if you require any information, or have any questions.
If you wish to apply please reply with some kind of portfolio / resume.
-Thank you for your time
-Andrew Riz

Why would you be against letting someone put the art in their portfolio?

I was against the art being put in their portfolio because i plan on what i am working on to be in the app store,  therefore their art would have a bootup logo of their name at the startup of the app...   i think posting someone a URL to the apple App store with an app that has your name/logo in the startup of the game is more worthwile than showing .png or .jpg of the work that you have done (i have had a bunch of scammers hit me up already with work they have not done)      Anyway,  As far as work is concerned i am currently talking to someone and they are close to what i am looking for,  maybe for future projects i can hook up with people however for this one i am going to wait for the person's reply till i look for someone new or go with them.  i would like to thank everyone for their time and effort and if anyone needs a programmer to help with their work i wouldnt mind helping out.   ( i have only coded in objective C, java, c++,c, javascript, ruby (sinatra),c#, html, css  q basic  almost in order from best to worst.)    i dont mind working for free but all my work is side projects and i dont always have time.       once again thank you all for your time And if i can help anyone out with their projects let me know.      And for everyone out there developing,  remember, anyone can do art / program,  it is your love and passion for what you do that will set you apart from others.  i wish everyone the best of luck with their endeavors.   -Andrew R.

A big part of the artwork is when you pay for something , you dont want it sold again, or others getting it for free.   The digital portfolio is way easier to copy / steal.  Any artist that has worked for a company has most likely already had to agree to something like this (as a programmer i am not allowed to program on my work laptop at all unless it is work related, and if i do, any work i do belongs to my employer)
