I'm not sure if this should go here but it's not really a job posting yet. I was curious as to what most of you would find appropriate pay for pixel and animation work, and what you like to see in a specifications sheet.

What would you consider fair pay for: maybe 5-10 sprite sheets that have 15 cells each, and a brick zelda-esq tilesheet consisiting of floors and walls, maybe 32 tiles at the very most. All of the aforementioned are 32x32. Then I would look for maybe 50-100 small item images. Anywhere from 16x16-32x32 is fine for that.

I understand that with quality comes a price increase, I would prefer to have nothing below average, but nothing extreme is needed for the most part. I just want some consistent results. I have a few thousand dollars for this, but I don't want to go too far over 3k, so I'm curious to see how feasible this is.

I know dimensions for most everything I need, but I don't know much about color palettes, animation work or anything like that. I would like to know if these kind of things are important to include in specifications. Do I leave styles up to the artist? I don't have any concept art or the like so I would assume so.

Thanks for your time.
