Are (pixel art animations) in .swf format allowed/supported in the PJ gallery?

Not that I know of. You can link to the animation in the description
though, if you decide to post the main characters or something.

I was thinking of making a Joint room where the walls are a Jumbotron.
If I make this in Imageready I suspect I would need several hundred
frames and end up with a big file. Where I can make a more complex and
tighter ani in Flash and keep the file size really small. (100% pixel
art)

Thing is, you can only upload GIF or PNG files. Other filetypes don't even get through the upload machine.
