I decided I'd post my spritesheets here to get some help and advice from you guys!!
This is my first spritesheet, and it really needs help, but since I have learned a few things since I drew it, I just need to redraw it and it would be a lot better.
We'll see if I get to that!
My second spritesheet, to the lower right is an edit my friend made. Also that on the right is a TF2 Soldier, but I copy-pasted it.
Now that is my current spritesheet and I'd love to see what you can say about it!
This is also my current spritesheet and I'm really unhappy with it as of now.

You are doing nicely tho its really hard to crit any single sprite as a sheet.
Overall, on all sheets your contrast is low and that makes for a harder read.
My fave part is the 'awesome legs' label :p

I decided to redo the fourth spritesheet from scratch, specifically that rifleman.
I added more diversity in colours but I think this guy is not very readable due to me trying to fit in too many details.

I think working on the red stripe below the black strap would help? Like, fourth sprite from the left on the top row. That red stripe seems to be the thing that's causing a lot of readability issues.

Anyway, here's an update.

Scaled 2x.
So I changed the way the guy holds his weapons, as someone else said that the guy would feel uncomfartable holding it like he did before.
Also I think I added new poses for swinging, and removed a few colours, trying to add more contrast and readability.
I also slightly modified the running pose and then I changed the colour of the sword, trying to make it look more like it's made of cast iron. Maybe I shouldn't have done it!
Now I just need an idea for another sprite. Maybe a worker or an officer???
Also I added a guy with a revolver, but all the poses with it look ugly and hands just shouldn't bend like this.
And then I wanted to add reload animations for both of the firearms, and I sort of did, but if I didn't tell this, you wouldn't have noticed, because they are not obvious enough. I guess I'll just use turn descriptions when I want to show that they reload in future :c
EDIT:
Introducing a new character, the prisoner/worker!!
I don't really like the pickaxe hold and walk+hold poses, and I will work on them later, but the actual mining poses look fine to me.

Added a ton of prisoner poses that look mostly the same, but with different tools :c
Added weapon poses as well.
And then I added a new unit, I wanted him to look unique, and that's why he has a gas mask. I don't really know what he could be though, but I tried to add a steampunk twist.
