I posted about this idea when it was just a tiny idea in the collaborations forum, because that's how I see it; it's something I'm working on that I need help to finish. (Well, suppose I don't need help, but I'd prefer to have it.) It didn't get any attention there and I made a really rough version by myself.

Anyways I'll be trying to make a finalized shader that can render 2D sprite art with live lighting and still look as close to something hand-pixeled as possible.
Your job would be creating (a) sprite(s) with the necessary extra maps to test it. I'm not being that specific, because the job isn't that specific I need something good enough quality to test it; not a specific character. I'd prefer a few frames of animation at different standard sizes (16x16, 32x32, 64x64 and 128x128). I also need to study how it interacts with more detailed and less detailed areas of objects; how it works with dithered and non-dithered shading, etc.
Each image needs 5 copies with different attributes:
1. A version with no shading at all; just solid colors for areas. [Diffuse Map]
Three Grayscale images where the 'neutral' shaded areas are medium gray, highlights are lighter and shadows are darker.
2. Shaded from directly above.
3. Shaded from directly to the right.
4. Pillow Shaded. (Shaded from the front).
5. A 'specularity' version which slows which colors parts of the object 'shine' in direct light; (alpha in sections that don't shine).
I may also use:
6. A 'palette' image that is nothing but a color limited list for the live shading to use in order to prevent a simple sprite getting hundreds of colors after processing.
1. Company: Just me.
2. Specs: Was that clear enough? Deadline: ASAP? There isn't one really, but I may end up using this shader as part of a larger project, so...
3. I expect someone capable of the shading I asked for in any style they like. (Yea, I originally put this in Collaborations, because I'm making whatever art you want live-shaded, it's a test for me; I just want good art, because if I test with bullsh*t, I won't catch minor errors.)
4. Definitely not paid. I couldn't afford to pay anything. I'm an unemployed shut-in who does projects like this.
5. lucien.fati@gmail.com
6. I don't have a website.
7. If you really want to see MY portfolio, sure; but it'll be a storm of links, because I never properly gathered it. (Newgrounds, YouTube, DeviantArt...) If it satisfies the court; I've linked this before, but here's a shader I made once; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fbTa5KBDy3c [Got the idea from the 'spartan' artwork that's in the Hall of Fame section of the gallery.]
