About Me
I'm a hobbyist indie developer currently working on a game for the Wii U. The game is a topdown round-by-round zombie survival/shooter. Development has been progressing nicely so I'm looking for someone to join the team as the game's artist.
Since I am a hobbyist developer the best form of payment I can offer right now is profit sharing. I am already a licensed Wii U developer, so the game will appear on the Nintendo eShop once it is completed. Revenue share will be from the game's sales there.
This will be my first game published for profit. To see some of my non-commercial games (with terrible programmer art!) visit biochromatic.itch.io. (Neon Dive used art provided by a friend.) You can also look up JustMakingGames on gamejolt.com for additional work I've done.
About the game
The game progresses round by round of incoming zombies. Each round is harder than the previous one. Up to five players (local co-op on the Wii U) are working together to survive. Players have different classes to choose from with varying stats/abilities. Eventually the game becomes too difficult to survive, and the players are defeated and given the option of posting their score to the Nintendo Miiverse.
I'm working on a way for the players to build barricades that the zombies either have to destroy or go around. I'm also thinking of an upgrade system of some kind, but that's still being worked out.
What I'm looking for
I'm looking for someone who is interested in joining the team as the main artist for this game. Here's a general idea of art I need. Keep in mind that this is all from a topdown perspective:
- Five human character spritesheets, each having animations for - walking, shooting, falling to floor (dying)
- Several types of zombies spritesheets, each having animations for - walking, swinging arms (attacking), falling to floor (dying)
- Wall tiles of a house - straight, corner, intersections
- Obstacles in a house (couches, chairs, tables, etc.)
- Boarded up entrances (windows and doors)
- Damaged boarded up entrances (when zombies are attacking it)
- Open entrances (windows and doors)
There might end up being more than just this (such as boss zombies or outside tiles like grass/bushes).
Please message me directly or post a reply if you are interested in working on this profit sharing project.
