I did a pixel art of Shadow the hedgehog, from Sonic Games.

I tried to post it at Pixeljoint but the system said that the pixel art is not "good enought".

Please, help me to shade it, giving me some tips.

You should clean the lines up and make the background transparent.

papagaio, you're almost there. I don't know why this was denied. It's not a masterpiece but I've seen way worse accepted so I will look at from different angles for you.
It may just be that it has a background color which is not always accepted if it does not need to be on the piece, like yours. For this get a program that handle transparency if you don't have one. Some are free for PCs, check the *resources* section for these.
It may have been the color use. The greys in particular are not smoothly blended and really just look like line. For this I suggest you look and read st0ven's tutorial on shading. I don't have it handy but if you look at the "profile* of the artist that created the purple dragon usually found in first place in the Hall of fame, its there.
The other thing I see is the lineart is jaggy especially on the legs. This needs some work. It may be that you have to redo the legs if you don't yet know how to smooth them out. st0ven's site has good reading on this topic too.
Try these things if you can or at least the ones you can and re-post an update for other help if you need.
You can PM me again if you wish :)

btw, I've asked for suggestions on you piece from others and most feel you need to change all the black color to a dark grey so that the black lineart is clear and visible along witha better blend.
I don't use your program so can't help with the transpareny.
