So, wanna help me speeding up my homework? Thanks.

I had to do a 200/250 words essay about "marriage". Here is what I ended up with...I count on english users to point out my mistakes and improve the thing.
Thanks in advance ! Here is the text:

According to a dictionnary, marriage is the “legal union of a man and woman as husband and wife”. The man usually loves the woman and vice versa. Marriage is the beginning of a new life for the couple which live in its own house. But things aren’t always that simple, that’s why we’ll have a quick overlook at what marriage has been and is now.

It has been a tradition for thousand years in every society and religion. It is a symbol of mutual love and will to live together, it’s the beginning of a new life for the couple.

In every religion, the meaning is the same but the ceremony is completely different. For instance, muslims don’t get married at church whereas catholics do. Further more, jews people get married at the synagogue. Also, there are many native tribes whch get married their own way.

Nowadays, marriage lost its meaning. It’s not a serious institution in people’s mind anymore : there are more and more divorces which prove its weakness. It is no more a life engagement but a consommation item. For example, young couples get married in a rush in Las Vegas where the whole thing can be done in less than 24hours.Many couples do not feel guilty saying “We got married last week but if things don’t go well, we still have the divorce as an emergency exit”. We think that this way of thinking is not right and that these people should better not getting married at all. Our society provides many ways to live in couple without being married such as the Pacs.

As a conclusion, we could say that wedding has been in a period of decline for a while. Since people stopped caring about religion, they stopped caring about mariage and  things may not improve in the years to come.

Marriage is the beginning of a new life for the couple who live together in a home.

Marriage has been a tradition for thousand years, in every society and religion

It is a symbol of mutual love and will to live together, it could be considered the beginning of a new life for the couple.

"Further more, jews people get married at the synagogue. Also, there are many native tribes whch get married their own way."- not sure you can start a sentence with a transition but i might be wrong...

Nowadays, marriage lost its meaning. It’s not a serious institution in people’s mind anymore; there are more and more divorces which may hint towards a more casual definition of the term. It is no more a life engagement, but a consommation item. For example, many young couples may get married in a rush in Las Vegas where the whole event may be done in less than 24 hours. This can be viewed as a split second decision rather than a carefully planned life defining moment. Many couples feel no guilt saying “We got married last week but if things don’t go well, we still have the divorce as an emergency exit”.Our culture views this way of thinking as morrialy irresponsable and may even think  that the couple would be better off not getting married at all. Our society provides many alternative ways to live together without being married such as the Pacs.

I might edit this later, but yes, I can write correctly when I want to.

"People in Japan think it's cute to "marry" their pint sized inbred dogs. This has led to mass dilusion and the birth of Godzilla. For over three hundred years the Grand Origami Master slaved away to keep the tengu from scaling the city walls and eating the villedgers. The mighty water Kappa held all the inbred married dogs in his scaley green arms. In doing so, he lost the water from te top of his head and died. Godzilla smote the town of Edo and everything was destroyed. THis all could have been prevented due to infernal "dog Marriages".

What does typo mean?

I guess you mean that "consommation" doesn't exist?

I picked up in the dictionary, "consommation" is not an english word :/
I want to compare marriage with an item that you use once and then throw away (just like a kleenex or sthing).

I'm disapointed to see you didn't mention gay marriage, but maybe that wasn't part of the assignment

250 words is far too short..there are plenty of things I could have said about marriage :/
Here, there are about 300 words >_<

But gay marriage only needs 69

EDIT: I know many PJ members are gay, this is good natured humor.
