Been thinking of making a character related to magic. So did this real quick. Tell me how I can improve it, or your opinion. :)

Hi there! It seems that this mage, your villager, and your ninja all belong to the same project. It'd be really helpful for us all to see them all on the same topic rather than scattered across the forum.
For this one, I'd say you have to really cut down on your colours, as there are a great deal at this point. The gradient-ish on the chest could be simplified a whole lot, and it doesn't seem to be effected by the cape around it. Where are the shadows? Also, the cape itself has some heavy banding along its edges. Take care to avoid this effect, it makes it harder for the eye to make up details in between pixels. Other than that, the silhouette is very nice, and the design is simple but effective. Good work and keep it up! |

Thank you and I see what you mean, I'll fix the outline of the cape and add a shadow to the chest.
About colors. I have a problem with using to many to achieve a certain blend. I'm going to work on that. Simplicity usually is the best when it comes to small sprites. Also had a hard time choosing colors for this o None the least, forgive me for not making a single forum, ill be sure to do post all in one for this project for now on. |
